High School Hockey

High School Hockey Teams

The West Madison Polar Caps feeds our youth players up into several high school hockey teams, including the Madison Memorial high school team for boys, the Madison West high school team for boys, the Edgewood high school team for boys, and the co-op Metro Lynx team for girls.

For the boys, Polar Caps players play Travel hockey through Squirt 10U, Pee Wee 12U, and Bantam 14U in their progression to playing high school hockey.

For the girls, Polar Caps players play Travel hockey through coed Squirt 10U or Girls 10U and coed Pee Wee 12U or Girls 12U. Then they transition to playing 14U Girls hockey with the Madison Mavericks in their progression to playing high school hockey.

Midget Hockey

In addition to the local high school hockey teams, the Midget hockey program provides an alternative to Madison area high school age players (ages 15-18) who either do no make their high school team or want to continue playing hockey with a lower time commitment. The Madison co-op Midget program is run through one of the local clubs (typically Middleton or Verona) each season and kicks off immediately following high school tryouts in early November.
