Registration for the 2020-2021 Hockey Season is Now Open

You may now register your skaters with the Polar Caps for the 2020-2021 hockey season (October 2020 to March 2021).

Registration for the following programs is available.

  • Mite / Red White & Blue 8U
  • House Rink Rats 10U
  • House Rink Rats 12U
  • House Rink Rats 14U
  • Travel Squirts 10U
  • Travel Pee Wees 12U
  • Travel Bantams 14U

Registration for Travel teams -- Squirt, Pee Wee, Bantam -- has closed.

Please contact our Age Level Directors  with any questions about our travel teams.

Registration for In-house programs -- Cross Ice, RWB, and House Rink Rats -- will close on October 23, 2020.

Prepare for registration:

  • Remember to register with USA Hockey first.
  • Other helpful information to have ready: parent/guardian contact info, doctor's contact info, preferred hospital, health insurance info.
  • Player size info for jerseys and socks for first time Travel hockey players.
  • Families with skaters above the Initiation level will be required to volunteer 12 hours (or take the buy out option).
  • Rental equipment fees are extra and not included in the skater registration process.
  • Please consider giving to the scholarship fund!
  • Both skaters and parents need to review and agree to the club's Concussion Awareness and Code of Conduct policies when completing registration.  PDFs of those documents are linked here, within the registration module itself, and on the Club Documents page.

If you are NEW to the Polar Caps, you will need to create a SportsEngine user account for our website. This account is used to register for the hockey season and other activities. You will create a family account where the member should be a parent. Your children will be added under your account during registration. You can also add multiple email addresses to the account for communication. Contact with any questions about your SportsEngine account.

Please contact our Treasurer prior to registration if you have any questions about program ice fees for skaters or making alternative payment plan arrangements.

Please note that program ice fees for all levels of play have increased this season due to the group size limitations and safety procedures for Covid-19.

Ice fees for Initiation level of play are per session or for both sessions. Typically, Session 1 is scheduled for November-December and Session 2 for January-February. Please note that at this time, we are not opening Initiation for registration.

Ice fees for Travel level of play (Squirts, Pee Wees, Bantams) includes preseason, evaluations/tryouts, and two tournaments.

For Travel level of play (Squirts, Pee Wees, Bantams), there is an additional Polar Caps uniform fee ($130) for game jerseys and socks that players will keep and reuse for the next season. Skaters playing Travel hockey for the first time will purchase game jerseys and socks during registration. Existing Travel hockey players may choose to purchase replacement jerseys and socks during registration.
