The Polar Caps Culture Champ recognizes and highlights people inside the organization that demonstrate the Polar Caps mission of playing with Pride, Passion & Purpose, and the elements of the Polar Caps Culture Wheel: 

Team First. Successful programs teach players the value of working together and a willingness to put individual goals behind those of the team.

Play Fearless. Successful programs teach their players how to love the battle and compete. Kids are encouraged to make mistakes and experiment to drive learning

Develop Leaders. Successful programs create a culture and platform to develop leadership capabilities in their players.

All Welcome. Successful programs build a culture that encourages, supports and celebrates all players regardless of skill level, gender expression, sexual orientation, race or ethnicity.

Play with Joy. Successful programs teach their players how to encourage teammates by staying positive. We'd say have fun, but other sports are fun...playing hockey is joyful!

Share the Puck. Successful programs teach their players how to respect the game by sharing the puck with their teammates.
