Registration for the 2024-2025 Hockey Season Is Open

Follow the steps below to register your players with the Polar Caps for the 2024-2025 hockey season (September 2024 to March 2025).

For our youngest and newest skaters, please visit our Learn to Play page for more information and registration. We will have multiple LTP sessions throughout the season.

Skater Registration

Registration for the following Polar Caps programs is available through our 2024-2025 Skaters registration form.

In-House:

  • Cross Ice 6U
  • Mite / Red White Blue 8U

Travel:

  • Travel Squirt Coed and Girls 10U
  • Travel Pee Wee Coed and Girls 12U
  • Travel Bantam 14U

Important - District Residency

Please contact us prior to registration if you reside outside of the Madison Memorial or Madison West high school districts.

Travel Team Information

Key Dates:

  • Travel Team Jersey: If you need a new Jersey ( all new travel players do ) please complete skater registration no later than September 4th. All orders are sent in one batch to our vendor.
  • Preseason Registration for Travel: Please note that all players planning to participate in our Travel level of play for Squirt 10U (coed and Girls), Pee Wee 12U (coed and Girls), and Bantam 14U need to be registered by September 5th to participate in preseason ice that starts September 9, 2024.
  • Final Registration Deadline for Travel: Registration for Travel level of play for Squirt 10U, Pee Wee 12U, and Bantam 14U will close on September 15, 2024. It is strongly suggested you register prior to September if possible.

In-House Information

Key Dates:

  • Registration for In-House: All players planning to participate in our In-House programs for Cross Ice 6U and Mite RWB 8U  should be registered by the beginning of October. Ice times for those programs are planned to start the week of October 14th.

  • House 10U-12U+ -- Not being offered this year. Please contact your appropriate Age Level Director from the travel program for info on registering for travel or other options

Prepare for Registration

  • Remember to register with USA Hockey first.
  • Other helpful information to have ready: parent/guardian contact info, doctor's contact info, preferred hospital, health insurance info.
  • Note that player size info for jerseys and socks for first time Travel hockey players will be collected by Age Level Directors after registration.
  • Families with skaters at Cross Ice 6U and above levels of play will be required to volunteer 12 hours (or take the buyout option).
  • Rental equipment fees are extra and not included in the skater registration process.
  • Please consider giving to the scholarship fund!
  • Both skaters and parents need to review and agree to the club's Concussion Awareness and Code of Conduct policies when completing registration. PDFs of those documents are linked here, within the registration module itself, and on the Club Documents page.

New? Create Account

If you are NEW to the Polar Caps, you will need to create a SportsEngine user account for our website. This account is used to register for the hockey season and other activities. You will create a family account where the member should be a parent. Your children will be added under your account during registration. You can also add multiple email addresses to the account for communication. Contact admin@westmadisonpolarcaps.com with any questions about your SportsEngine account.

If new to travel (Squirt, Pee Wee, Bantam) or need a new jersey/socks fill out a jersey entry

Notes

Please contact our Treasurer prior to registration if you have any questions about program ice fees for skaters or making alternative payment plan arrangements.

Ice fees for Travel hockey level of play (Squirt, Pee Wee, Bantam) includes preseason, evaluations/tryouts, and two tournaments.

For Travel level of play (Squirt, Pee Wee, Bantam), there is an additional Polar Caps uniform fee for game jerseys and socks that players will keep and reuse for the next season(s). Skaters playing Travel hockey for the first time will purchase game jerseys and socks during registration. Existing Travel hockey players may choose to purchase replacement jerseys and socks during registration.
