The West Madison Polar Caps is hosting a Try Hockey for Free event at Madison Ice Arena on September 9th from 1-4pm. Come out to the rink and give it a try!  We will provide the gear and get your skater out and moving on the ice.  Please plan to stay with your skater for the duration of the event. 

Location: Madison Ice Arena, 725 Forward Drive, Madison, WI

Arrival: Anytime between 12:30pm and 2 pm. 

On ice activities: We will have Coaches on the ice from 1-3pm for any kids that want to try hockey in a safe and fun environment!

Off ice activities: Watch current Polar Caps players skate on the main ice rink and get to know the Polar Caps community!

What to wear/bring: Please have your child wear athletic clothing (sweatshirt and sweatpants are best). We will outfit them with all the gear they need to try hockey!

Looking for more than just one afternoon at the rink? Get your young athlete out on the ice with the Polar Caps Learn to Play program.  

The program is specially designed for new skaters, and focuses on developing basic foundation skating and hockey skills in your young player.  They will have a blast learning and playing alongside their future Polar Caps teammates!
